Lake Layout & Key Structure
Endless rocky reefs, deep basins, and tight rocky shorelines. The Ash River end holds current-loving walleye spring and fall. Park boundaries protect the habitat.
Seasonal Walleye Tactics
Walleyes on the gravel in 6–12 ft. Smallmouth wake up early on rocky points. Jig + minnow does it all.
Walleyes drop to 18–28 ft on the offshore reefs. Slip-bobbers with leeches over rocky humps. Smallmouth bite is incredible — every rock pile holds fish.
Trophy walleye time. Big shiners on jigs over rocky points at sunrise. Muskies hit suckers.
Limited road access — most fishing is by snowmobile. Walleye in 22–32 ft on rocky structure.
